Aphrodite's Closet[3336]

Hi All,

Today on my blog I have a review for the book Aphrodite’s Closet by Suzy Turner.

The Blurb! 40660801

Agatha Trout didn’t even know she had a Great Aunt Petunia, so imagine her surprise when she finds Petunia left her a corner shop in her will. But it’s not just any old corner shop—it’s a corner shop that needs something unique, something the town of Frambleberry has never seen before.

Influenced by her confident best friend, Coco, Agatha is soon convinced that there’s only one way to go: an adults-only sex shop.

While some of the townspeople are clutching their pearls in horror, others are open to the new experiences this shop offers. But not everyone in Frambleberry is convinced. Will the women soldier on in the face of violent threats or will their fears get the best of them—and their new venture—before it even gets off the ground?

My Review!

When I read the blurb for this I thought it sounded hilarious! Although it had its funny moments, it was actually more of a mystery.

Aggie is pretty much me. I’m not as much a prude as she is, but she’s me and I can relate to her and her mannerisms. I think she was the perfect person to open the adult shop and make a go of it. Well done Great Aunt Petunia for seeing all the potential and believing in Aggie.

Coco is Aggie’s complete opposite, she’s quirky, fun and a bit of sex addict (lol!) she always seemed to have a different man or a man drooling over her.

Christie is the full time Mum that needs some time away from the house and so also invests in the adult shop. She’s also Aggie little sister.

Aggie and Christie never used to see eye to eye when they younger, but I love the relationship they seem to have now. They never argued throughout the whole book, but I bet they could! I reckon they’d have such fights and arguments, not unlike my sister and I at all and trust me, we can fight!

I loved that Great Aunt Petunia could still be seen and sensed in the shop. She helped them and knew what would be needed. I loved the fact she sent Aggie a video and a letter as well. It just all seemed right.

I loved the flow of this book and just everything about it. I’d most certainly recommend it and I’ve given this book a quirky, fun and sexy 5/5 rating.
