What do you do when the past becomes your future?

The year is 2089, and time-travelling journalist Ashley Riveraine gets a once in a lifetime opportunity to interview her childhood hero, Alexander the Great. She expects to come out with an award-winning article, but doesn’t count on Fate intervening.

Alexander mistakes Ashley for Persephone, goddess of the dead, and kidnaps her, stranding her in his own time. Being stuck 3000 years in the past with the man of her dreams wouldn’t be so bad if the scientists of the Time Institute hadn’t threatened to erase Ashley from existence if she changes history.

Ashley must now walk a tightrope, caught up in the cataclysmic events of the time, knowing what the future holds for the people she comes to love but powerless to do anything to influence it.

Join Ashley on her hilarious, bumpy journey into the past as she discovers where her place in history truly is…linePurchase Links

lineMy Review

I literally finished this book about 45 minutes ago and I have one question…. why did it have to end? I am not much of a sci fi kinda gal and although this did have a bit of a sci fi aspect in the beginning it soon loses all that! I really am a sucker for historical fiction and this really did have me hooked!

I love reading other peoples views on people, civilisations and times gone by. This really was no exception! It was brilliant, I loved the way it flowed, the way everything was described was perfection! I couldn’t put it down unless work or rabbits got in the way (darn it!). Once I’ve got my TBR down a little bit I definitely need to get the next book in this series.

The female lead of this book is Ashley, she’s a journalist living in 2089. In all honesty that isn’t that far into our future now. So in some respects this book could be completely believable, especially the way technology is always advancing these days.

Anyway back to Ashley. I loved Ashley, she was just an ordinary woman, with a bad background trying to make it in the world. She knew exactly what she wanted and where she wanted to go, I have a lot of respect for her. Yes she tried to go back although her heart, head, body, mind and spirit didn’t want to go. She got to meet Alexander the Great! Granted she fell in love with him but come on who wouldn’t he sounds rather yummy!

I’ve never read anything about Alexander the Great before and I thoroughly enjoyed this. It was light hearted, but serious. It was full of love, sex and lies but it was written beautifully.

Would I recommend this book? Hell yes I would!!
