Hi Everyone,
Today I am one of the bloggers that is kickstarting the tour for My Last Lie by Ella Drummond. I am very excited to be bringing you a review for it.
New beginnings. Old secrets.
Theo and Pilar. The perfect couple.
Successful, beautiful and very much in love.
Until a year ago – and the tragedy that nearly tore them apart.
When their baby died, a part of them died with him.
Now they’re trying to rebuild themselves, moving to a stunning house in rural Cornwall.
But someone knows all their secrets – and will stop at nothing to disturb their fragile peace.
Theo and Pilar are about to learn that you can try to hide – but you can never outrun your past.
A unputdownable, gripping psychological thriller that will hook you until the final shocking twist. Fans of The Girl on the Train, Behind Closed Doors and The Wife Between Us will be captivated.
Available to pre-order now at 99p

This book had me gripped from the first page, it went straight into the background as to why we started the first chapter where we did. I was a bit hesitant to read it but I’m so so glad I did.
The characters were fantastic and I was still trying to guess towards the end with a twist and a turn and lots of different bits in between.
Theo and Pilar made this book for me. Pilar is always questioning Theo’s motives and his loyalties but the more you read the more you notice that he really does love her more than anything and would genuinely do anything for her.
They are probably the strongest characters I’ve read about for a long time. They had to endure so much to get where they are now.
This has probably reawakened my love for psychological thrillers! Although I read them on occasion, none have sucked me in and pulled me under quite like this one. I don’t think I’ll be able to recommend this one enough. It’s definitely a must read and probably my book of the year so far!
This book does come with a trigger warning for the loss of a child.
